Fog nearly win, well not really

When the game kicked off at the crazy time of 9:00am Sunday morning, the Fog were as close to 3 points as they were going to get. I turned up just a little bit into the second half so I could either make the whole report up or give you the last 15 mins.
It was 4-1 when I arrived but the VFFC certainly didn't look down and out, we had a few chances but unfortunatly so did the opposition (I have no idea what the team name is) and they took their chances better than we did.
Although I only saw the final minutes, there were plenty of talking points, Peter (Dadu) Brayshaw managing to avoid a yellow card was the main one, but I think Creston's stint in goal was my favourite, some great saves and a very impressive underarm throw out while hovering in the air. Nice.

Anyway, winning isn't everything in football (Unless we're talking about Liverpool in the Champions League),
Sometimes being cool is way more important, here's some proof that when it comes to being cool the Velvet Fog come top of the league every time.

Wow! I rest my case.

Nick Hornby signs for the VFFC!!

Breaking news!
Here's an exclusive picture of the Velvet Fog's new signing,
Nick Hornby of Fever Pitch, High Fidelity and About a boy fame.
With the recent absence of Gazza, the Fog had been missing a middle aged bald guy,
Bruce and myself talked him into posing with the famous shirt, he said he thought the team name was "Very cool".
Check out his new book "A Long way down" he read a few pages from it, sounds pretty good.

Bruce looks thrilled as Hornby signs for the Fog.
